Shots & Shooters
6 recipes
This Field Manual holds 6 recipes in the shots family. A shot is drunk in one, so the measures are small and the build is about order rather than balance.
Layered shots depend on density: the heaviest liqueur goes in first and each lighter one is poured slowly over the back of a spoon so it sits on the one below. Get the order wrong and the layers mix. Small does not mean weak. A B-52 is three 15ml pours and about 1.2 UK units, and two or three of them is a strong drink taken quickly, which is the case for pacing them.
